 Missing parts - In 1968 Gridley returned from deployment and then went to Bath, Maine for a refit and decommissioning. The XO left in Long Beach and the Weapons Officer became XO. In the shuffle of decommissioning the Command History was probably not done.

Who knows what happened to 1972 and 1973? Ditto 1979 and 1981?
