The Decommissioning of the U.S.S. Gridley DLG/CG-21 was held in San Diego on 21 January 1994.  For those of us attending, it was a sad, but proud, ending for a ship with over 30 years of service.

Amongst those attending were Rear Admiral Sackett (CO 65-66), Captain Donald R. Hess (CO 87-89), Clem Proud RD2, Phil Carter RD2, CAPT Keith Ott, LCDR Rueckert, Longoria GM1.
